Lab Technician (Chemistry/Microbiology)

Location: Davenport, Iowa, United States; onsite, 8-hour shifts from 7:00am to 3:00pm. External applicants must currently be eligible to work in the US.

Salary: USD 23.50–26.75 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare submitted and composite samples for chemistry and microbiology testing using aseptic techniques.
• Perform routine and non-standard tests according to established methods and standard operating procedures.
• Prepare standards and reagents, record results in worksheets and databases, and peer-review documentation.
• Clean, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and maintain laboratory cleanliness.
• Send samples to external laboratories and support other technicians, onboarding, and scheduled project work.
• Initiate project testing and provide periodic updates to laboratory management once qualified across all workstations.

Requirements

• Higher technical education or higher secondary education.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a similar laboratory role.
• Basic laboratory skills, including weighing, aseptic transfer, following SOPs, and reporting results.
• Strong time management, good math and computer skills, and effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
• Current eligibility to work in the United States is required for external applicants.
