Linux Systems Engineer for Image Computer Product Development

Base pay: $117,800–$200,300 annually

What you will do

• Develop reusable Shell and Python modules for Linux-based image computer product development.
• Develop high-performance computational models and characterize system workloads.
• Configure and customize BIOS, disk partitions, RAID utilities, PXE network boot, systemd, and Linux high availability.
• Configure, monitor, and optimize InfiniBand, Ethernet, RDMA, and RoCE v2 networks.
• Work with server hardware, GPUs, CUDA, RAID/HBA controllers, and aggregated storage technologies such as MdRaid.
• Model workloads and benchmark performance across the x86 hardware platform stack.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Shell and Python, including reusable module design and implementation.
• Data science experience and ability to develop high-performance computational models.
• In-depth knowledge of SUSE, Red Hat, Rocky, Alma, or Ubuntu Linux.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience with server hardware, GPUs, CUDA, RAID/HBA controllers, storage technologies, and interconnected network configuration.
• Doctorate with 0–2 years of related experience, master’s degree with 3–5 years, or bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PKI and SSL/TLS certificate management.
• Experience developing visualizations and observability stacks.
• Understanding of cable types, signal-integrity specifications, qualification, and characterization.
• DevOps experience with Jenkins, Git-based repositories, and Docker containers.
• Knowledge of hirify.global processes and procedures.
