Cloud Engineer II (AWS)

Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States; hybrid

Salary: $91,700–$130,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Drive configuration management, source control, build, and CI/CD best practices across the R&D organization.
• Develop, maintain, automate, and orchestrate AWS application, data, networking, security, monitoring, and service-discovery platforms.
• Enhance platform services with Terraform, Ansible, Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Packer.
• Define and improve observability patterns and platforms using OpenTelemetry and related tooling.
• Guide product developers within the Site Reliability Engineering team and collaborate with architects and Agile product teams.
• Participate in critical incident management, root-cause analysis, and an after-hours tier-4 production support rotation.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience with public-cloud environments, DevOps, platform engineering, server administration, scripting or development, and configuration-management tools.
• Production experience with infrastructure as code and automated deployment pipelines.
• Expertise in logging and observability solutions such as Splunk, Coralogix, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch.
• At least 3 years of experience with containerization.

Nice to have

• Five or more years in software development and two or more years with Agile methodology and SRE practices.
• A technical degree or military experience as a technologist.
• AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps certification.
