Senior Associate, Financial Planning & Analysis (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA — On-site

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 annually, plus bonus

What you will do

• Support annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, and long-range planning across business units.
• Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly close packages, management reports, executive presentations, and Board materials.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis of headcount, production, and operational performance for Finance leadership and business stakeholders.
• Support Workday Financials reporting capabilities and the implementation of Adaptive Planning.
• Maintain data integrity, reporting hierarchies, reconciliations, and tie-outs across multiple financial systems.
• Automate recurring data pulls, formatting, reconciliations, variance commentary, and report drafting using Excel, Power Query, macros, and AI-assisted tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of progressive FP&A experience or a combination of FP&A and corporate or public accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, financial modeling, and pivot tables.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, GAAP, and management reporting.
• Experience working with large datasets and multiple systems, with a detail-oriented approach to data integrity, model tie-outs, and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight close deadlines and produce clear, leadership-ready financial narratives.

Nice to have

• Fintech or banking industry experience.
• MBA, CPA, or CFA.
• Power Query, Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI experience.
• Experience applying AI tools such as Claude or Copilot to FP&A workflows.
