What you will do
- Own the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent UK payrolls for a diverse customer portfolio.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing consultative advice on UK legislation, statutory payments, and payroll best practices.
- Manage complex calculations including salary sacrifice, benefits in kind, and equity compensation.
- Reconcile HMRC liabilities and ensure accurate FPS/EPS submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve service delivery.
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to knowledge management initiatives.
Requirements
- Must have extensive experience in a UK payroll bureau or outsourced environment.
- Expert knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance, and HMRC compliance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex payrolls for medium to enterprise-sized organizations.
- Experience with pension schemes, benefits in kind, and equity compensation taxation.
- Strong analytical skills for reconciling liabilities and diagnosing payroll discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical payroll concepts to non-payroll stakeholders.
Nice to have
- CIPP Qualification.
- Experience in SaaS technology.
- Experience with Zendesk, Slack, and Asana.
- Familiarity with APIs and payroll integrations.
