What you will do

• Develop and execute category strategies for indirect spend, including supplier negotiation governance (“one authoritative voice”) and consistent contract terms.
• Own spend analysis, FX variance assessments, “Should-Be” cost modeling, and Total Landed Cost (TLC) comparisons to support forecasting and cost-avoidance tracking.
• Run the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle (RFI/RFQ/RFP), manage contract lifecycle (MSA/SOW/LTA), and lead SRM and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) against SLA/KPI benchmarks.
• Provide oversight to global transactional buyers using Coupa P2P controls, approval workflows, and compliance guardrails to manage PO creation and tail spend.
• Drive indirect procurement transformation using Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events to reduce lead times, standardize workflows, and improve MRO inventory turnover.
• Mitigate supplier and supply-chain risks through deep-dive assessments (dependencies, geopolitical stability, financial viability) and ensure compliance with international labor standards (Employer Pays Principle).

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement in a highly regulated industry (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA/advanced degree preferred.
• Proven ability to operate in a complex matrix organization with global mandates and site-specific requirements across multiple departments.
• Leadership experience guiding and mentoring decentralized or global purchasing teams/buyers in an e-procurement environment.
• Expert knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including Kaizen execution and Value Stream Mapping initiatives.
• Strong Coupa (or equivalent P2P) proficiency and advanced analytical skills (Excel, Tableau, or Power BI); experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar).
