What you will do

• Design and deploy production-ready agentic AI systems to automate complex preclinical workflows using RAG and advanced orchestration.
• Build predictive and generative AI models for study design across in vitro, in vivo, and pathology datasets.
• Expand and manage the AI data estate, leveraging owned, customer-governed, and public data sources.
• Establish evaluation frameworks and monitoring to ensure AI systems are accurate, reliable, and explainable.
• Collaborate with scientists and pharmaceutical stakeholders to validate models and solve scientific challenges.
• Implement secure, governed, and GxP-compliant AI practices and model lifecycle management.

Requirements

• PhD in Machine Learning, Computational Chemistry/Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent production experience.
• Several years of experience building and deploying AI/ML systems, ideally in preclinical research or drug discovery.
• Strong expertise in LLMs, agent frameworks, RAG architectures, vector databases, and context engineering.
• Expert proficiency in Python with working knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript and SQL.
• Must be based in Boston, MA for hybrid work (2 days per week in office).
