TL;DR
WVUM IT PMO Project Manager (Healthcare IT): Leading mid-to-low risk IT projects across multiple departments with an accent on project planning, stakeholder communication, vendor coordination, budgeting, and risk management. Focus on developing schedules and work plans, managing change control and issue logs, coordinating internal and external resources, and transitioning completed projects to customer support.
Location: Remote within the United States; occasional on-site travel is required in Morgantown, West Virginia, for implementations, training, and support.

What you will do
- Lead mid-to-low risk IT projects affecting multiple departments and manage smaller-scale projects.
- Develop and maintain project proposals, charters, schedules, work plans, budgets, deliverables, and resource allocations.
- Track project scope, risks, issues, costs, timelines, change control, and project information.
- Coordinate IT teams, customers, vendors, consultants, contractors, and affiliated healthcare practices.
- Communicate project status, issues, decisions, and outcomes to teams, management, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate project implementation, transition support to Customer Service, and occasional on-site training or support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, MIS, or a related field, or four years of relevant experience in project management, project coordination, project leadership, or systems analysis.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including sponsor management, risk management, customer satisfaction, issue tracking, and problem solving.
- Experience coordinating internal resources and managing vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, prioritization, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information, work under high-stress conditions, and adapt to changing workloads.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally on-site to Morgantown, West Virginia.
Nice to have
- Certified Associate in Project Management certification.
- One year of hospital or hospital information technology experience.
