What you will do

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to the IT security team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Develop and execute the company's cybersecurity strategy in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize security risks while implementing mitigation plans and controls.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security technologies, including firewalls, IDS, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM systems.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of significant security incidents and maintain robust incident response plans.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and conduct regular audits to identify and correct vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in IT security, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing security strategies and programs.
• Strong understanding of security tools, best practices, and incident management processes.
• Must be based in or able to work in Raleigh, NC, USA (Hybrid setup).
• CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security certifications are preferred.
