TL;DR

Lead Software Engineer (Fullstack): Building and enhancing a clinical intelligence platform with an accent on customer-configurability and scalable data services. Focus on designing end-to-end feature releases, implementing cloud infrastructure, and mentoring junior engineers.

Location: Remote, must be based in the United States, with occasional travel to Boston, MA for onboarding and team meetings.

Salary: $155,000–$175,000 annually

What you will do

  • Drive the technical design process and make data-driven decisions for platform enhancements.
  • Develop and deliver features for the cloud platform and web applications using Java and React.
  • Architect and maintain scalable data services and APIs.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure deployment using AWS and Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Ensure healthcare security standards and maintain comprehensive test coverage.
  • Mentor junior engineers to foster a high-quality engineering culture.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States.
  • 8-10 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Java and modern web frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, DataDog, or Kafka.
  • Proven track record of deploying full-stack applications to AWS.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in healthcare and life sciences.
  • Experience with Groovy and Micronaut.
  • Experience using test frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, Mocha, JUnit, or Cucumber.
