Senior Software Engineer (Autonomy Services) (Java)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week. Domestic relocation assistance is available, and visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.

Salary: $112,710–$183,140 per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and deploy backend RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Lead technical decisions and deliver functionality with cross-functional Agile teams, product stakeholders, and architects.
• Build secure, scalable, cloud-native services on AWS or Azure and improve architecture, integration, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools and software engineering agents across design, coding, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
• Review and resolve complex production and development issues while improving platform resilience.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, pairing, and technical feedback.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs using microservices principles.
• Experience building and deploying secure, scalable backend services in cloud-native environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted and agentic software development workflows, including validating AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Knowledge of software architecture, integration engineering, critical thinking, and effective communication.
• Must be based in Irving, Texas, and work onsite five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience building production AI agents with Python and using LangChain or LangGraph.
• Experience integrating LLMs with external tools, APIs, databases, and retrieval systems.
• Experience designing evaluations, guardrails, monitoring, multi-agent workflows, and memory or context management.
• Experience with prompt optimization, latency and cost reduction, MLOps, or model deployment.
