What you will do

• Architect and implement database solutions ensuring availability, scalability, performance, recoverability, and security.
• Manage hardware resource allocation, resilience, and performance tuning; proactively monitor databases to minimize downtime.
• Provide metrics, trend analysis, and recommendations to management for resource management decisions.
• Troubleshoot SQL development issues and support Stored Procedures troubleshooting and performance improvements.
• Implement and release database changes on agreed timelines and costs; develop and follow standard operational procedures.
• Operate a 24x7 production environment, participate in incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis, and run DR exercises.

Requirements

• 7+ years as a Database Administrator in a financial services, banking, or investment banking environment.
• Proven expertise in Oracle databases in a multi-tenant environment.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Always-On.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure CI/CD pipeline and PowerShell scripting.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to work with virtual teams and international stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
• Knowledge of ING business areas.
