What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade database environments across on-premises and hybrid infrastructures.
• Administer and optimize large, complex databases supporting high-volume transactional and analytical workloads.
• Ensure high availability through clustering, replication, failover, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Lead database performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization initiatives.
• Implement and enforce enterprise security standards, including encryption, auditing, and role-based access control.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to align database architecture with enterprise standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience administering databases in an enterprise environment.
• Expertise with enterprise database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or IBM Db2.
• Strong experience with high-availability architectures, disaster recovery, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning skills.
• Understanding of enterprise data security, auditing, and compliance requirements (e.g., DFARS, ITAR).

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based database environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of data warehousing and OLAP systems.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting tools like PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Relevant database certifications (OCP, Azure Database Administrator, AWS Database Specialty).
