What you will do
- Lead the AppEx team from concept and planning through rollout, partnering with engineers and stakeholders across the organization.
- Own developer productivity and internal developer experience outcomes, translating feedback into a clear, well-argued roadmap.
- Coordinate across team boundaries (including SRE, Security, Principal Engineers, and leadership) and influence without relying on authority.
- Manage and coach engineers, contributing hands-on through code reviews while keeping the team unblocked and moving.
- Oversee technical decisions and contribute to the Platform group’s technical strategy.
- Maintain shared libraries and tools used by many services, ensuring safe upkeep and rollout.
Requirements
- Significant senior engineering experience with complex, large-scale, cloud-based systems (Go is a plus), ideally with Platform or Internal Developer Experience exposure.
- Management experience with 2+ years and several direct reports (2+), with a genuine passion for developing people.
- Experience building products for internal stakeholders and developers.
- Strong ability to build trust and alignment: gather and synthesize feedback, communicate clear rationale, and bring people along before executing.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and shaping loosely defined problems into a sequenced path while moving at pace.
- Must be eligible to work remotely from the UK, Ireland, Lisbon (Portugal), or the Netherlands.
