Senior Automation Controls Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee. Role is based in the Greater Seattle Area with relocation provided.

Salary: $110,623 – $154,871 (WA range)

What you will do

• Design and modify PLC and robot programs for complex manufacturing equipment.
• Develop electrical designs for industrial control and safety systems.
• Collaborate with data science teams to integrate IoT analytics into manufacturing processes.
• Develop SCADA applications and data collection solutions to drive production efficiency.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot sophisticated manufacturing hardware.
• Architect and implement roadmaps for manufacturing automation initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with automation software development (Ladder, ST, C/C++).
• 10+ years of experience with controls environments (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley).
• 10+ years of experience in 'from scratch' software development for automated tooling.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.
• Ability to interpret and review complex electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and process simplification.

Nice to have

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with high-level languages like Python or C#.
• Familiarity with IEC 61131, ANSI B11, NFPA 79, and RIA 15.06 standards.
• Experience with NC programming (G-code, TP, Karel).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for industrial design.
