Risk Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: United States; remote-eligible role

Salary: $95,500–$114,800, $101,200–$121,500, or $112,400–$135,000 USD annually, depending on geographic zone

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategic risk portfolio plans from scoping through completion, using statistical and analytical techniques to identify performance patterns and early risk indicators.
• Build operating frameworks and deploy workflow automation and AI-assisted tools, including LLM copilots, to reduce manual processes.
• Design advanced dashboards and visual narratives in Tableau, AWS QuickSight, or similar tools for project sponsors and leadership.
• Manage third-party vendors by tracking performance, evaluating ROI, monitoring budgets, and ensuring measurable value for risk programs.
• Maintain project trackers, timelines, governance records, and audit documentation while coordinating with Strategy, Product Management, Engineering, risk analysts, and data scientists.
• Develop data-driven recommendations for controls and risk strategies across credit, fraud, and reputational risk.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in risk management, portfolio analytics, program management, or a related field in financial services, ecommerce, or fintech.
• Experience independently managing medium-scale, cross-functional programs or workstreams, including deliverables, tracking, and timelines.
• Hands-on experience with third-party vendor management, performance measurement, audit requirements, and ROI reviews.
• Working knowledge of payment products and credit, fraud, or reputational risk principles.
• Ability to turn complex data and risk analysis into actionable recommendations and structured presentations.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating or deploying AI and automation tools such as Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, or similar LLM-powered assistants.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar process improvement experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
