CNC Machinist (Rotating Shift) (CNC)

Location: Onsite at the Stoney Creek manufacturing plant, Canada. Rotating every two weeks between Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm and 3:00 pm–11:00 pm.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and run CNC milling machines and/or CNC turning centers.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, GD&T, tolerances, and dimensional requirements.
• Perform tooling, offsets, fixture alignment, and tool pre-setting for finishing operations.
• Modify and edit existing CNC programs and operate manual lathes and mills when required.
• Inspect components using micrometers, vernier calipers, CMMs, and other measuring instruments.
• Follow preventive maintenance and safety procedures, assist with machine repairs, and support continuous improvement and operator training.

Requirements

• High school education plus two years of technical training.
• Over five years of experience in related or subordinate work, plus six months of on-the-job training.
• Strong hands-on experience with CNC milling or turning and precision component manufacturing.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, tolerances, dimensions, G-code, and CNC machine controls.
• Red Seal certification or equivalent experience; experience with Mazak, Okuma, and Haas machines is an asset.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and work onsite in the Stoney Creek manufacturing plant.
