Machine Operator (Payment Cards)

Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada; onsite production-floor role

Compensation: $18.20 CAD per hour plus applicable shift premium and up to a 3% bonus capped at 150%.

What you will do

• Set up, start, shut down, and operate machines used to personalize plastic payment cards.
• Load production files from the company network, select the correct files and embossing sequences, and process remakes.
• Inspect initial and completed cards, verify card and carrier specifications, and complete quality and document control checks.
• Count and balance cards, record machine meter readings, production data, and daily reports.
• Change machine supplies, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and support other machines and production projects as required.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety policies and report hazards, incidents, and concerns.

Requirements

• Must possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a valid Canadian work permit.
• High school diploma completed; some post-secondary education is preferred.
• One to three years of machinery experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and basic mathematical and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for extended periods, and examine card text and computer screens for lengthy periods.
