What you will do

• Define and simulate high-frequency electrical interfaces for next-generation optical engines.
• Lead signal integrity strategy across electrical and electro-optical interfaces.
• Drive co-design across photonics, analog/ASIC, and packaging teams to optimize performance.
• Lead testing, characterization, and qualification of integrated systems.
• Develop and validate end-to-end link budgets using simulation and measurement data.
• Perform root cause analysis on complex signal integrity issues.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in high-tech engineering.
• Strong background in RF/microwave engineering, signal integrity, and high-frequency circuit theory.
• Experience in optical communications or high-frequency characterization (>110 GHz).
• Hands-on experience with electro-optical device testing.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in 3D EM modeling (HFSS) and circuit simulation (ADS).
• Experience with high-speed SerDes (≥200G PAM4) and industry standards like IEEE 802.3.
• Scripting skills in Python or MATLAB for lab automation and data analysis.
• Knowledge of advanced packaging and 2.5D/3D integration.
