What you will do

• Build and own core policy administration services including quoting, rating, binding, and renewals.
• Develop agentic AI capabilities such as AI-driven underwriting decisioning and conversational interfaces.
• Contribute to RAG pipelines and tool-use patterns to ground LLM behavior in regulated insurance content.
• Implement observability, evaluation, and cost instrumentation for AI features.
• Build migration tooling and pipelines to transform data from legacy vendor platforms.
• Collaborate with Product and Insurance SMEs to turn domain requirements into robust software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• US-based residency and ability to work core US business hours.
• Production-grade proficiency in Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-integrated features like RAG or agent workflows.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API-first design.
• Experience leading projects from conception to production.

Nice to have

• Experience with homeowners or P&C insurance systems.
• Background in cloud-native infrastructure (GCP) and event streaming (Kafka).
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like SERFF or NAIC.
• Knowledge of insurance data standards such as ACORD or MISMO.
