Location: Must be based in the United States (excluding Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nebraska, Montana, New Hampshire, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia).
Salary: $168,800 – $236,300 annually.

What you will do
- Build and own core policy administration services including quoting, rating, binding, and renewals.
- Develop agentic AI capabilities such as AI-driven underwriting decisioning and conversational interfaces.
- Contribute to RAG pipelines and tool-use patterns to ground LLM behavior in regulated insurance content.
- Implement observability, evaluation, and cost instrumentation for AI features.
- Build migration tooling and pipelines to transform data from legacy vendor platforms.
- Collaborate with Product and Insurance SMEs to turn domain requirements into robust software.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- US-based residency and ability to work core US business hours.
- Production-grade proficiency in Python or Java.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-integrated features like RAG or agent workflows.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API-first design.
- Experience leading projects from conception to production.
Nice to have
- Experience with homeowners or P&C insurance systems.
- Background in cloud-native infrastructure (GCP) and event streaming (Kafka).
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like SERFF or NAIC.
- Knowledge of insurance data standards such as ACORD or MISMO.
