What you will do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive federal government affairs strategy aligned with corporate and commercial objectives.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Members of Congress, federal agency leadership, and key policymakers.
• Lead policy efforts on Medicare/Medicaid coverage, CMS coding, and behavioral health policy.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Legal teams to ensure policy supports product development and launch.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with patient advocacy organizations, provider societies, and trade associations.
• Manage external lobbying firms and ensure all political engagement complies with legal and ethical standards.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in federal government affairs, healthcare policy, or congressional affairs.
• Significant background in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sectors.
• Deep understanding of Congressional legislative processes and federal budget appropriations.
• Expertise in CMS reimbursement, coding, and coverage frameworks.
• Must have employment rights in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to have

• Experience with controlled substances policy and DEA scheduling.
• Experience developing reimbursement and market access strategies for novel or specialty therapies.
• Background in mental health, neuroscience, or behavioral health.
