Operations Manager (Electronics Manufacturing)

hirify.global is partnering with a growing electronics manufacturing company that produces electrical and electronic components for small and mid-sized companies.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing operations, production scheduling, shipping and receiving, and inventory control.
• Support company growth, financial, quality, safety, delivery, cost, and productivity goals as part of the leadership team.
• Improve production flow, quality, repeatability, throughput, and cost performance using manufacturing and process engineering expertise.
• Identify and resolve process constraints, recurring production issues, quality escapes, rework drivers, and material-flow problems.
• Drive operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, standard work, root-cause problem solving, and best-practice sharing.
• Develop KPIs, lead cost-reduction initiatives, and coach team members to improve accountability and professional growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or a comparable manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or in a similar technical manufacturing role.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, business, or a related field preferred; an engineering degree is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, FMEA, visual management, root-cause analysis, and mistake-proofing.
• Experience with process improvement, production processes, work instructions, fixtures and tooling, process controls, testing, or quality systems.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, production scheduling, inventory control, materials flow, project management, and performance metrics.

Nice to have

• Lean or Six Sigma certification, especially Green Belt or Black Belt.
• Experience in low- to mid-volume, high-mix electronics manufacturing.
• Master Black Belt certification.
