TL;DR

Financial Controller (Finance): Managing monthly closing, budgeting, and forecasting for operational business units with an accent on performance monitoring and strategic decision-making. Focus on conducting detailed cost and variance analyses for the transport sector and partnering with senior business leaders across Europe.

Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, Spain (3 days office / 2 days remote)

What you will do

  • Manage monthly closing, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the assigned business scope.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
  • Monitor operating expenses and headcount costs across Sales Production activities.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Perform detailed cost and variance analyses for the Transport perimeter in Southern Europe.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities and recommend improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Financial Controlling, Management Control, or Audit.
  • Strong knowledge of financial closing, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must be based in or able to work in Barcelona, Spain.

Nice to have

  • Professional proficiency in French and/or Spanish.
  • Experience with SAP or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience supporting operational business functions like Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, or Transport.
  • Experience working in an international or multi-country environment.
