Accounting Associate (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Accounting Associate (Finance): Managing day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for a global gaming company with an accent on revenue reconciliation and IP contract tracking. Focus on collaborating with external auditors, calculating revenue shares for IP holders, and optimizing accounting processes.

Location: Hybrid (Barcelona, Spain) - 3 days a week from the hub

What you will do

• Support the Accounting Manager in tracking development agreements and IP contracts in partnership with the Business Development team.
• Reconcile cash receipts on revenues and investigate variances in collaboration with the Revenue team.
• Coordinate with subsidiaries and external auditors to provide necessary information for internal and IP holder audits.
• Calculate monthly and quarterly revenue shares and reimbursements for IP holders and developers.
• Execute ad-hoc accounting projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting or a related specialization.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office packages.
• Experience working within an international company across multiple locations.
• Must be based in Barcelona to maintain the hybrid work schedule.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working with Oracle.
• Demonstrated history of driving process improvements.
