What you will do
- Act as Lead System Engineer for Phase A/B1 studies.
- Coordinate technical contributions from specialist engineering departments and subcontractors to ensure coherence and quality.
- Lead mission and system design, including the derivation, validation, and maintenance of requirements.
- Establish satellite development approaches to achieve targeted Technology Readiness Levels (TRL).
- Analyze cost drivers and implement risk mitigation measures for the platform.
- Define the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and program plans for subsequent development phases.
Requirements
- Master-level degree in aerospace engineering with a focus on space systems.
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience in space system engineering or satellite development.
- Strong expertise in space mission design and spacecraft subsystem design.
- Proven experience in requirements engineering for spacecraft subsystems.
- English: C1 (Fluent business English) required.
Nice to have
- Experience as a lead system engineer for Phase 0/A/B1 projects on the industry or institutional side.
- Hands-on experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) toolchains.
- Fluency in German.
