Due Diligence Consultant (Investment)

Location: Springfield, Massachusetts; Boston, Massachusetts; or New York, New York

Salary: $102,500–$134,500 annually

What you will do

• Conduct initial and ongoing due diligence on investment offerings, investment managers, and external service providers.
• Assess investment managers’ operational infrastructure, governance models, investment philosophy, processes, resources, and performance.
• Research investment products, asset classes, market and economic conditions, competition, emerging trends, fees, and technology enhancements.
• Prepare written findings and recommendations for senior management and investment committee presentations.
• Monitor investment managers and service providers while maintaining and improving policies, procedures, workflows, and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and advise departments on investment product features, benefits, risks, and areas of concern.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 3 years of experience with investment products and asset classes, including alternatives, separately managed accounts, mutual funds, or variable annuities, or at least 3 years in investment operations with prior due diligence experience.
• At least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office products.
• At least 1 year of experience with Morningstar, Bloomberg, or other investment databases.
• Ability to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check and qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA.

Nice to have

• CFA designation or active progress toward the designation.
• Experience with complex and alternative investment products and presenting findings to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience improving processes and systems in a process-driven environment.
