APJ Field Engineering Leader (Lakebase)

What you will do

• Hire and manage a specialized team of pre-sales Solutions Architects focused on Lakebase.
• Lead technical adoption, consumption growth, and customer value initiatives across complex strategic APJ accounts.
• Coach sales and pre-sales teams and improve the effectiveness and return on investment of Solutions Architect engagement in sales cycles.
• Build executive-level customer relationships and communicate complex, business-value-focused solutions in the OLTP and modern data architecture space.
• Develop Lakebase market presence in partnership with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
• Translate customer feedback, technical requirements, and competitive insights into field readiness and product evolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of first-line or second-line leadership experience managing teams of 7+ or 20+ people, respectively.
• Senior-level enterprise software pre-sales experience at a reputable software company.
• Experience with transactional databases, ideally including data warehousing, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, or AI solutions.
• Proven ability to influence, develop, and empower teams while driving customer value and transformational outcomes.
• Experience managing complex strategic accounts generating $1M+ ARR and building cross-functional partnerships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience; willingness to travel up to 30%.
