TL;DR

Location: Hybrid (London, UK) — must work from the office at least 3 days per week

Leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia evolving into a comprehensive finance super app to help people plan, save, and grow their money.

What you will do

  • Develop backend services, APIs, and workflows for the finance super app.
  • Build infrastructure for products across insurance, payments, wallet, savings, and investing.
  • Design reliable systems for user accounts, transactions, reconciliation, and notifications.
  • Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, and other data providers.
  • Improve system reliability, observability, security, and overall performance.
  • Build practical and auditable systems ready for regulated financial products.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, system design, and production debugging.
  • Experience building scalable services and integrating third-party systems.
  • Solid understanding of security, reliability, and operational edge cases.
  • Must be based in the UK and able to work from the London office at least 3 days per week.
  • Strong English communication skills required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking, or other regulated products.
