What you will do

• Architect and maintain multi-tenant infrastructure supporting enterprise-grade SLAs for availability, latency, and throughput.
• Develop cross-domain product features including tax systems, compliance-driven flows, and monetization tools.
• Design technical integrations for enterprise prospects to enable multi-million dollar contracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product, Design, Compliance, and Sales.
• Ensure production excellence with a focus on scale, maintainability, and system reliability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience specializing in Java and Spring Boot.
• Must be based in or able to work from London (Hybrid).
• Proven experience leading multi-team initiatives with measurable technical or business impact.
• Expertise in system design, balancing flexibility and simplicity in component abstraction.
• Ability to make pragmatic decisions on performance optimization versus delivery velocity.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or other highly regulated industries.
• Expertise in high-scale performance tuning (100k+ QPS) and strict latency SLAs.
• Background in multi-tenant SaaS or platform architecture.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with OAuth2.0, API design, and cross-region data residency compliance.
