Sr. Manager Legal (Ecommerce)

What you will do

• Provide strategic legal guidance to senior management on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts ensuring alignment with Egyptian laws and company interests.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, developing practical and commercially sound risk management strategies.
• Manage legal disputes, arbitrations, claims, and settlements to minimize business impact.
• Lead and mentor the local legal department in Egypt to ensure high standards of service delivery.
• Collaborate with regional legal, compliance, finance, HR, and operations teams to support strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Law degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and valid license to practice in Egypt.
• 7+ years of experience in corporate/commercial law with proven leadership in a legal role.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian corporate, commercial, employment, consumer protection, tax, and data privacy laws.
• Excellent communication and drafting skills in both Arabic and English.
• Strategic mindset and ability to provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice.

Nice to have

• Prior in-house legal experience.
• Knowledge of e-commerce, tech, food delivery, quick commerce, or the digital sector.
