Site HR Manager

Location: Toronto, Canada; supporting Markham and Toronto sites in the Greater Toronto Area

Salary: CAD 89,300–119,000 per annum

What you will do

• Lead HR activities for the Greater Toronto Area sites and participate in site leadership.
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, employee engagement, retention, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
• Advise employees, leaders, and managers on employee relations, performance management, and employment matters.
• Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, local employment laws, and company policies.
• Lead onboarding, training, employee communications, investigations, and exit interviews.
• Use HR trends and metrics to improve the employee experience and support a safe, respectful, productive, and inclusive workplace.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including site-level or HR business-partner leadership.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development.
• Excellent communication, listening, relationship-building, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Experience with team effectiveness, change management, employee engagement, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS platforms such as Workday.
• Ability to travel within the Greater Toronto Area as needed.

Nice to have

• CPHR, CHRP, or CHRL certification.
• Experience in a fast-paced technology or engineering environment.
• Strong business acumen and experience translating people strategies into practical solutions.
• Experience using AI tools.
