Senior Installation Technician (AV/IT)

Senior Installation Technician (AV/IT): Building and modernizing DoD facilities by providing C4I/IT electronic systems equipment and infrastructure installation with an accent on cabling, hardware termination, and system documentation. Focus on the physical installation of racks, fiber optic cabling, and VTC codecs within secure classified environments.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO. Must have U.S. Citizenship and be able to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance

Salary: $40 - $45.70 per hour

What you will do

• Install and cable electronic equipment and infrastructure for C4I/IT communication systems.
• Terminate Ethernet (SM/MM), fiber optic (MPO/MTP), and coaxial cabling.
• Install and document monitors, speakers, video switches, microphones, and VTC codecs.
• Mount racks, cabinets, and peripheral equipment on walls and floors.
• Update as-built design documents and create computer-generated cable labels.
• Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues in coordination with HVAC, electrical, and security teams.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• TS clearance required; SCI preferred.
• Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) and/or Audiovisual Network Professional (AVP) certifications.
• Associate's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel within a 50-mile radius of the duty station.

Nice to have

• OSHA-30 or ITIL certifications.
• Industry-specific certifications such as Extron, Crestron, Fluke, or Fusion Splicers.
