What you will do

• Produce detailed site safety plans using CAD software in compliance with OSHA and NYC DOB rules.
• Perform regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Deliver safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses to develop strategies that prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote a company-wide culture of safety.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Safety Specialist, specifically within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for safety drafting and design.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA codes and NYC DOB site safety rules and requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is a plus.
• Professional safety certification (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, CSP) is highly desirable.
