TL;DR

Payroll Specialist (Finance): Managing end-to-end payroll operations for Colombia with an accent on process optimization, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. Focus on bridging Finance and People teams, ensuring 100% accuracy in payroll delivery, and maintaining SOX controls within the Workday ecosystem.

Location: Must be based in Medellín, Colombia. This role is hybrid (1-2 days in the office).

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Colombia with 100% accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and SOX controls.
• Maintain data integrity between the payroll platform and Workday.
• Act as the Finance lead for payroll-related projects, benefits renewals, and technology implementations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external payroll providers.
• Provide guidance to employees regarding pay reviews, benefits, and tax returns.

Requirements

• Must be based in Medellín, Colombia.
• Deep knowledge of payroll processes and experience in optimizing them.
• Experience working with external payroll providers and Employer of Record (EoR) services.
• Qualified Accountant with experience in a global business environment.
• Proven experience with regulated frameworks such as ISO, Internal Audit, or SOX controls.
