TL;DR
Financial Analyst / Data Analyst (FP&A, SQL, BI & Financial Modeling): Building financial models, reporting frameworks, KPI dashboards, and forecasting tools from financial and operational data with an accent on SQL analysis, business intelligence, and executive reporting. Focus on scenario and variance analysis, validating data quality, and translating performance trends into actionable recommendations for leadership.
Location: Remote from South Africa or Kenya; U.S. Business Hours

is hiring for a role focused on transforming financial and operational data into actionable business insights.
What you will do
- Build and maintain three-statement, ROI, IRR, break-even, forecasting, scenario, sensitivity, and variance models.
- Query, transform, and analyze financial and operational datasets using SQL.
- Build scalable reporting frameworks, KPI tracking systems, and dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages, executive summaries, and board-level reports.
- Support budgeting, rolling forecasts, and budget-versus-actual analysis.
- Partner with finance, operations, sales, and leadership to translate data into strategic recommendations and improve reporting quality.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, business intelligence, or data analytics.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, INDEX/MATCH, nested formulas, macros, and scenario modeling.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and joining datasets.
- Experience preparing variance analyses, management reports, and KPI dashboards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Must work remotely from South Africa or Kenya during U.S. Business Hours.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python, R, or advanced analytics workflows.
- Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- ERP experience with NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
- Experience in SaaS, finance, healthcare, or professional services.
- Exposure to forecasting and strategic finance initiatives.
