Control Systems Simulation and Calibration Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Optimize vehicle and powertrain control system parameters to improve safety, emissions, fuel economy, performance, and drivability.
• Develop smart calibration processes and supporting tools.
• Build simulation platforms and methodologies for electrification, hydrogen solutions, ADAS, and fuel-cell vehicles.
• Generate KPIs and requirements, develop test cases, and analyze test results using system and domain knowledge.
• Conduct environmental testing in international locations, including the USA, Italy, Finland, and Spain.
• Collaborate with global hirify.global experts and follow current automotive technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• BSc, MSc, PhD, or equivalent engineering degree in electrical/electronic, controls, mechatronics, automotive, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in R&D and product development projects.
• Understanding of electrified and hybrid powertrains, ADAS/AD, transmissions, engine systems, or aftertreatment systems.
• Experience with controller or algorithm design and implementation, optimization methodologies, system dynamics, modeling, data acquisition, and post-processing using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics and network communication platforms such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
• Fluent spoken and excellent written English is required.

Nice to have

• Programming experience in C#, Java, Python, or another programming language.
• German, French, or Italian language skills.
