Senior Functional Safety Development Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Istanbul, Türkiye

What you will do

• Participate in the complete functional safety lifecycle, from specifications through vehicle testing and validation.
• Design safety architectures and specify functional requirements using system and domain knowledge.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety analyses to define measures for achieving safety performance targets.
• Perform safety calibration and integration activities.
• Develop simulation platforms and verification methodologies for SIL, MIL, and HIL environments.
• Support environmental testing in international locations and collaborate with global technical experts.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in R&D and product development projects.
• Degree in automotive, electrical, electronics, mechatronics, control engineering, or a related technical field.
• Fluent spoken and excellent written English.
• Good understanding of functional safety, ISO 26262, E/E architecture, and vehicle control.
• Experience with requirements engineering, controller or algorithm design, FMEA, FTA, quality management, or data acquisition and post-processing using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics and CAN, LIN, or Ethernet communication platforms, plus knowledge of electrified and hybrid powertrains, ADAS/AD, chassis, or SOTIF.

Nice to have

• German, French, or Italian language skills.
• Programming experience in Python, C#, or another language.
