Senior Engineer, CMF

What you will do

• Develop CMF engineering designs for new consumer electronics products, connecting industrial design and CMF concepts with manufacturing to achieve user experience and manufacturability goals.
• Translate concepts from Design and Marketing into feasible engineering activities and align with cross-functional stakeholders on cost, schedule, user experience, and sustainability targets.
• Partner with manufacturing teams on robust CMF processes, design for mass production, and continuous improvement.
• Define reliability testing requirements, protocols, and equipment, and ensure CMF specifications meet product requirements.
• Track CMF trends and technologies, independently resolve complex technical issues, and provide CMF expertise to project teams and varied audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent or above in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in material development, decoration processes, or color development, preferably in the CMF industry.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of materials science and post-decoration processes such as painting, printing, and anodizing.
• Experience with fabric and PU industries and related post-processes such as fabric wrapping, laser processing, and lamination.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
