Senior Software Engineer (Go, AI Resilience & Security)

Location: 100% remote for contractors based in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Romania, Slovakia, or Slovenia. Contractors must start their first day in the company office to collect the equipment required for remote work.

What you will do

• Design, build, and implement security and resilience capabilities for a cloud-native payments platform.
• Develop API security, cryptographic controls, AI governance, and software supply chain security solutions.
• Build automated security tooling that can be embedded into the software development lifecycle.
• Deliver scalable, maintainable, production-ready capabilities and support their rollout.
• Collaborate with engineers, platform specialists, and security experts on defined project outcomes.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of designing and building distributed systems.
• Professional experience with Go and a pragmatic approach to selecting tools.
• Familiarity with cloud and containerisation technologies, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working on complex, high-performance, and robust critical software.
• Ability to own projects end to end and support them in production.
• Strong communication, collaboration, knowledge-sharing, clean code, and software engineering best practices.
