Engineering Manager (Fullstack): Leading the design and implementation of strategic systems for HR, Payroll, Learning & Development, and Workforce Management platforms with an accent on scalable microservices and colleague experience. Location: Must be based in or near Kraków, Poland (Hybrid: 60% office / 3 days per week)

Salary: 31,000 - 40,000 PLN gross/month

What you will do

  • Lead the design and implementation of strategic systems for HR, Payroll, L&D, and Workforce Management.
  • Conduct performance assessments, provide feedback, and guide career development for team members.
  • Mentor the development team on best practices, design principles, and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape technical strategy and roadmaps.
  • Oversee security implementation using tools like SonarQube and Snyk.
  • Manage application performance and monitoring using Splunk and New Relic.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in software development with proven experience managing engineering teams.
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript/React or Java.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Must be based in or near Kraków, Poland.
