What you will do

• Own and manage the product roadmap and backlog for cloud storage services including block, file, and object storage.
• Define initiatives to improve durability, performance, scalability, and cost optimization of storage systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to design data paths, consistency models, and replication strategies.
• Make technical trade-offs regarding latency, throughput, IOPS, and durability using quantitative analysis.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives between engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.
• Support product positioning and technical documentation for AI/ML and HPC environments.

Requirements

• Must be based in Germany
• Extensive hands-on experience building or operating cloud storage systems in senior engineering or architecture roles.
• Deep understanding of storage internals including distributed systems, replication, erasure coding, and consistency models.
• Strong familiarity with technologies such as NVMe, iSCSI, POSIX, Lustre, Ceph, and S3-compatible storage.
• Ability to analyze and optimize performance metrics like IOPS, throughput, and tail latency.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional technical initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience with storage systems specifically for AI/ML workloads or HPC environments.
• Prior product management experience is a plus, though technical leadership is the primary requirement.
