QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and expand end-to-end test automation coverage with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Develop scalable automation frameworks for critical frontend and backend workflows.
• Diagnose flaky tests, asynchronous behavior, DOM interactions, network requests, and framework performance issues.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and maintain reliable test data and test environments.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers on feature releases, quality planning, and regression coverage.
• Use AI-assisted workflows to discover edge cases and optimize testing speed, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Proven experience building and maintaining end-to-end automation frameworks; strong Cypress experience is acceptable when paired with willingness to transition to Playwright.
• Deep understanding of DOM interaction, network requests, asynchronous behavior, and flaky-test diagnosis.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, autonomous, and ownership-driven approach to engineering work.

Nice to have

• Experience building automation infrastructure from scratch and managing test data strategies.
• Experience testing B2B SaaS products or multi-tenant systems.
• Familiarity with role-based access and permissions testing.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing workflows and experience in startup or product-led environments.
