What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of visual journalists to elevate CNBC's data storytelling.
• Design and produce ambitious data visualizations, from rapid-turn charts to immersive interactive features.
• Collaborate with reporters, editors, and product teams to identify and execute data-driven opportunities.
• Establish standards for chart design, editorial integrity, and reusable visual templates.
• Develop dynamic visualizations for breaking news, enterprise stories, and special projects.
• Build interactive visual explainers using modern web technologies and animation.

Requirements

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• 7+ years of experience in data visualization or visual journalism, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Mastery of tools such as Datawrapper, Flourish, Tableau, Illustrator, Figma, or D3-based tools.
• Proven experience building interactive graphics using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including Svelte or D3.js).
• Strong news judgment and ability to translate complex topics into accessible visual explanations.
• Deep interest in business, economics, markets, technology, or policy reporting.
