What you will do

• Drive technical strategy and roadmap for adaptive telemetry and telemetry databases.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of large, cross-functional projects (planning through long-term operation).
• Own architecture, reliability, performance, and cost for critical systems.
• Define SLOs/SLIs and lead high-severity incident response and blameless post-mortems.
• Improve observability, automation, and operational readiness (telemetry, alerting, runbooks, capacity planning).
• Mentor engineers and align stakeholders to remove blockers in a remote-first environment.

Requirements

• Proven delivery and operation of large distributed systems with evidence of technical leadership.
• Strong systems design skills across latency, consistency, availability, scaling, and cost tradeoffs.
• Hands-on cloud and platform experience with cloud-native architectures (microservices, containers/Kubernetes, IaC).
• Reliability and performance ownership experience, including SLOs/SLIs, capacity planning, and tuning.
• Excellent coding and design skills; experience with Go is used, but Go/Python/C/C++/Rust or similar is acceptable.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development and practical experience integrating AI developer tools into workflows.
