What you will do

• Build and modernize data infrastructure used by product and engineering teams across the organization.
• Ensure system reliability by identifying risks, improving observability, and reducing operational toil.
• Partner with stakeholders to design trusted data systems using a product-centric mindset.
• Drive the long-term platform roadmap and migrate end-of-life systems to maintainable alternatives.
• Develop and review Python-based tooling for pipeline orchestration, data quality, and infrastructure automation.
• Apply SRE and DevOps principles to improve uptime, monitoring, alerting, and deployment practices.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience across data engineering, backend engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
• Proficiency in Python is essential and will be evaluated during the interview process.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and backend services.
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline tooling such as Snowflake, dbt, or Spark.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Ability to pragmatically assess tech debt and advocate for sustainable improvements.

• Experience leveraging AI to increase team output and impact.
• Experience owning platform direction and strategy without a dedicated PM layer.
