Mainframe Software Development Engineer in Test (Mainframe)

Location: USA-IL Lisle Warrenville Road

Annual base salary: USD 109,700–175,500, plus a discretionary annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Validate and verify new features, software enhancements, and product fixes.
• Develop and execute software tests in a continuous integration environment.
• Build, implement, and maintain test automation pipelines.
• Assess code coverage and identify and resolve testing gaps.
• Automate testing tasks with appropriate tools and scripting languages.
• Provide quality assurance expertise and coordinate with management and internal teams in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Practical experience in mainframe development and testing environments.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency with JCL for batch workloads.
• Proficiency with Python, JSON, and REXX scripting.
• Proficiency with CI/CD test automation frameworks, including Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of security protocols and ESMs.

Nice to have

• Experience with REST API automation using RestAssured.
• Experience with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with JUnit or TestNG.
• Experience with JMeter for stress and load testing.
