Salary: $140,000–$200,000 per year.

What you will do

• Embed with research scientists and electrical engineers to identify and document breakthrough ideas.
• Produce technical essays, explainers, and profiles that make complex physics legible to a general audience.
• Partner with the production team to build storylines and scripts for technical video content.
• Set the editorial bar and standards for all external research publications.
• Source and edit contributions from internal researchers to ensure technical rigor and clarity.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience writing or editing for science and technology publications.
• Technical background in Applied Physics, RF, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Proven track record of publishing complex technical content in respected journals or media.
• Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to translate dense technical ideas into clear prose and visuals.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York City for in-person work.
