Compensation: $210,000 – $250,000 + Equity.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the embedded Linux software stack on Jetson Orin NX and AAEON hardware.
• Build and integrate ROS2 nodes for multi-sensor orchestration including radar, SDR, AIS, and thermal imagers.
• Design and maintain OTA software update pipelines for reliable deployment to a global fleet.
• Optimize AI inference pipelines using TensorRT and CUDA while balancing power and thermal constraints.
• Develop secure connectivity layers for Starlink backhaul and local mesh networking.
• Instrument the edge stack with observability tools to triage and resolve field-reported issues.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 5+ years of embedded Linux or platform software engineering experience on production systems.
• Strong command of C++ and Python with deep familiarity with Linux internals.
• Hands-on experience with the Yocto Project build framework.
• Hands-on experience with ROS or ROS2 for sensor integration.
• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms and edge AI hardware.
• Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewall policies.

Nice to have

• Experience with SDR platforms and RF signal processing.
• Background in maritime, defense, or environmentally hardened systems.
• Familiarity with AIS protocol decoding or NMEA message handling.
• Experience with mesh networking protocols.
• Security experience including secure boot and certificate management.
