TL;DR
People Business Partner (HR): Building trusted relationships with leaders and employees to achieve business goals with an accent on employee relations and change management. Focus on driving organizational change, providing mentorship to leadership, and ensuring compliance with Canadian and U.S. employment law.
Location: On-site 5 days a week in Vancouver, Canada
Salary: $88,000 – $100,000 a year

What you will do
- Partner with stakeholders to identify and support business needs through agile, data-driven, and human-centered approaches.
- Act as a trusted advisor on Canadian and U.S. employment law to resolve systemic employee relations issues.
- Drive organizational change and initiatives to enhance and create a healthy team culture.
- Lead people-related projects, including engagement surveys, talent reviews, and program improvements.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members and leaders to build organizational leadership capabilities.
- Oversee internal control reporting responsibilities, such as approving referral bonuses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Commerce, Psychology, or Personnel Administration.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law is required; knowledge of U.S. law is an asset.
- 5+ years of HR experience within a project-based, creative culture.
- 2+ years of experience specifically in a People Business Partnership role.
- Proven ability to partner strategically with department leaders to drive operational goals.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees at all levels.

- PHR, SPHR, or CPHR Certification or other industry credentials.
