What you will do

• Validate regulatory obligations against existing controls in line with Mexican regulations
• Provide guidance and support for quality control checks within the compliance team
• Recommend process improvements ensuring alignment with best practices and governance
• Review work performed by compliance SMEs with high attention to detail
• Communicate review feedback clearly to stakeholders
• Maintain and improve compliance methodologies adapting to regulatory changes

Requirements

• Must have 4+ years experience in regulatory compliance within fintech, banking, consulting, or regulatory institutions
• Experience interpreting Mexican financial regulations (e.g., CNBV, Banco de México)
• Fluency in English
• Experience reviewing work and providing structured feedback
• Strong understanding of compliance controls and best practices
• Results-driven and detail-oriented mindset

Nice to have

• Degree in law, finance, engineering, or related field
• Experience mentoring team members
• Knowledge of Mexican financial regulations related to payments and consumer protection
• Audit or assurance experience within risk and compliance
• Relevant certifications such as ICA, ACAMS
